Terms of Service

Effective date: 11 October 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your access to and use of CrawlWarden (crawlwarden.com), a website change-monitoring service operated by CrawlWarden. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of the service

CrawlWarden is a software-as-a-service tool that reads, with read only access, Google Search Console data about the sites and pages a customer chooses, and notifies the customer by email when Google's verdict or numbers for those pages change. Connecting Search Console is the main step of setting up a site and remains the customer's choice. See section 9.

The service also periodically fetches the list of web pages the customer chose, records values relevant to search engine indexability, and notifies the customer by email when those values change. These page checks run whether or not Search Console is connected. CrawlWarden offers a free plan and the paid plans described in section 4.

3. Accounts

You must provide an accurate email address when creating an account, and you must confirm it before monitoring begins. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us at support@crawlwarden.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

4. Plans and billing

  • Free - $0 forever. 1 site, 5 URLs per site, checked once a day. All checks included.
  • Solo - $19 per month. 3 sites, 50 URLs per site, checked every 6 hours. All checks included.
  • Agency - $59 per month. 15 sites, 50 URLs per site, checked every 3 hours. All checks included.
  • Portfolio - $149 per month. 50 sites, 100 URLs per site, checked every 3 hours. All checks included.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), which acts as our Merchant of Record and handles billing, invoicing and tax collection on our behalf. By purchasing you also agree to Paddle's terms of service and privacy policy.

All prices shown on this site are in USD and exclude tax. Where your location requires it, Paddle adds VAT, GST or sales tax on top of the listed price and shows the full total before you confirm payment. Paddle determines the applicable rate from the country you give at checkout, and collects and remits that tax as the Merchant of Record. Renewal charges are calculated at the rate in force on the renewal date, so the total may change if a rate or your location changes. Business buyers can enter a VAT or tax ID at checkout where Paddle supports it.

5. Refunds

You may request a full refund within 30 days of your first payment on a paid plan, for any reason, by emailing support@crawlwarden.com. After 30 days, subscription fees are not refundable. Renewal charges are refunded at our discretion where a documented failure on our side prevented the service from working for a significant part of that period. See our refund policy.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel at any time, in one click, from your account. There is no cancellation fee and no requirement to contact us. Monitoring continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. Your account then returns to the free plan: your history is retained and one site remains monitored.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Monitor URLs you neither own nor are authorised to monitor on behalf of the owner.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or its infrastructure.
  • Use the service to cause excessive load on a third party's website.
  • Resell or sublicense access without our written consent.

8. Your data

You retain ownership of the URLs, settings and other content you enter. We do not sell your personal data. You can export or delete your data at any time. Using the service grants CrawlWarden a limited licence to store and process that data solely in order to operate the service. See our privacy policy.

9. Data from Google Search Console

Connecting Google Search Console is the main step of setting up a site, and it remains your choice: the page checks run and alert without it. If you connect it, you authorise CrawlWarden to read Search Console data for the properties you link, through Google's own consent screen, with read only access. You must be entitled to access every property you connect, and you remain bound by Google's own terms for Search Console.

That data is provided by Google. Google publishes it two to three days after the day it describes, may revise it afterwards, and it can be incomplete or wrong. CrawlWarden reports it as received, reads it once a day on every plan, and does not treat data Google has not finalised as an answer. You can disconnect at any time from your account or from your Google account's security settings. Our privacy policy describes what is read, how it is used, and what is deleted when you disconnect.

10. What the service does and does not guarantee

CrawlWarden is a monitoring service. It reports observations about pages you ask it to watch. It is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.

CrawlWarden does not guarantee that it will detect every change, that it will detect any particular change, or that a page or site will remain indexed by any search engine. Search engines are operated by third parties whose behaviour we neither control nor predict, and the same is true of the data Google reports about them. Monitoring depends on your site being reachable at the times we fetch it, and a change that appears and reverts between two checks may never be observed.

CrawlWarden does not diagnose problems, recommend changes, or provide search engine optimisation advice.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CrawlWarden is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including lost traffic, lost rankings, lost revenue or lost data, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will tell you about material changes by email or a notice in the application, and the effective date above will change. Continuing to use the service after that date constitutes acceptance.

13. Complaints

If something has gone wrong, email support@crawlwarden.com and describe it. We aim to acknowledge within one business day and to resolve or explain within five. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, say so in reply and it will be reviewed again. Billing disputes may also be raised directly with Paddle, our Merchant of Record.
