Priced per site, not per URL

Every check is available on every plan, including free. The plan limits sites and URLs, never what you can watch for.

Google's alerts are identical on every plan, including free: Google finalises its Search Console data once a day, so the Google checks run daily on every plan and nobody can buy them faster. What paying buys is scale and evidence speed: more sites, more URLs, and the page checks underneath running every three hours instead of once a day. The drop alerts need roughly 30 clicks a day before a fall means anything, and stay silent below that rather than inventing a signal.

Three rows move. Five are the same word four times, and that is the part worth reading twice.

Two things no plan does

It does not catch a slow decline. The normal range for clicks and impressions slides with the traffic, so a site losing a couple of percent a week never leaves its own band and nothing is sent. Sudden falls are what the method detects. The whole method is published, including this limitation: how the normal range is built, and what it misses.

It does not tell you why. The alert reports what Google now says about the page and the dates, then what CrawlWarden recorded changing on that page beforehand, each with its own date and link. It draws no line between the two. There is no score, no grade and no recommendation, on any plan.

Are the Google alerts the same on every plan?

Yes. Identical on every plan, including free. Google finalises Search Console data once a day, two to three days behind, so the Google checks run daily on every plan and nobody can buy them faster. Charging more for the same data arriving at the same time would be a fee for nothing.

So what does paying actually buy?

Scale and evidence speed. More sites, more watched URLs per site, and the page checks underneath running every three hours instead of once a day.

When Google reports that a page is no longer indexed, an Agency customer's alert can say the canonical changed at 09:00 on Tuesday. A free account can only say it changed sometime on Tuesday. The alert is the same; the evidence is sharper.

Is there a traffic level below which the drop alerts stay quiet?

Yes, and it is roughly 30 clicks a day. Below that a 40% fall is three clicks, which means nothing, so these alerts stay silent by design rather than inventing a signal out of noise.

The index verdict alerts are unaffected and work at any size, including on a page with no traffic at all. On a small site those are the ones worth having, and they are on every plan.

Stated here rather than discovered after purchase. If most of your sites are below that floor, the honest pitch is the index verdict half, not the traffic half.

Is the free plan a trial?

No. There is no countdown. A trial is a poor fit here: what is being sold is that nothing went wrong, and a fortnight of silence looks exactly like a product that does not work. You find out what CrawlWarden is worth the first time it catches something, and that may be months from now.

Therefore the free plan runs indefinitely and monitors properly - real checks, real emails, real history - for 1 site and 5 URLs, checked once a day.

Do the cheaper plans get fewer checks?

No. Every check across indexability, on-page tags, analytics tagging, site configuration, DNS, TLS, content integrity and both Google groups is available on every plan, including free. You choose which ones you want; the plan never chooses for you. What a plan limits is how many sites and URLs you watch and how often the page checks run.

What if I never connect Search Console, or the access goes away?

The site keeps full page monitoring and keeps alerting on everything CrawlWarden can see for itself: the status and redirect chain, the robots directives in the HTML and the header, the canonical, robots.txt per user agent, sitemap membership, the on-page tags, DNS, TLS and content integrity. What stops is the half that comes from Google: the index verdict for each watched URL, and the clicks and impressions figures. It never goes dark.

Connecting Search Console is the main step of setting up a site, and still your choice. It needs read only access to the property, which plenty of agencies do not hold for their clients. Worth checking you have it before you pay rather than after.

Do the DNS, TLS, robots.txt and sitemap checks use up my URL allowance?

No. Those are site and domain scope, so they run once per host however many URLs you watch on it, and they never count against the limit. The URL allowance counts the pages you chose to watch, and nothing else.

Can I get a refund, and how do I cancel?

Thirty days, no questions, on any paid plan. Cancel in one click from your account - no email, no retention flow. Monitoring continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, and the account then returns to the free plan rather than being closed.
